      its good in term of good name of company , to boost your career in other competitors

      Pros

      gain knowledge of oil tools and organizational behaviour, enter into oil company as a door

      Cons

      no respect of employees in term of work, every one sacrifice family life as company do not provide family accommodation and re-numerous package to support family in UAE, forceful overtime, just one month vacation in year for those who work 12 hour in manufacturing shop at Abu Dhabi, no career development, injustice between salaries based on nationalities, in equities in work hours and facilities on the basis of ethnics.

      Ok place to start your career; don't suggest staying for years though

      Pros

      -Good cheap medical, dental, vision. -Access to different engineering groups all in one spot (High potential to move into anyone of those positions), such as Manufacturing, Design, Project, Systems, Test, and Software engineering. -Great potential for moving up (standard is 6 months in most positions before people make the move up). -Oil industry; easier to get a job with Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, etc. -Generally competent managers.

      Cons

      -No sign-on bonuses, or any bonuses to speak of. -Standard for this position (so that it is fair to everyone? HR says), is to pay nearly 10-14k less than the industry standard. This includes paying entry level engineers the same as entry level engineering techs. -Moving to a new position does not mean you'll make much more money (unless posted otherwise). You get paid extra based on a percentage system (low low percentage). -On the job training (GL to you new graduates) + a lot of grief. -Multiple weekly meetings (depending on the project).

      Weatherford-a tough company to get things done in

      Pros

      The company offers a nice benefit and RRSP package to all employees. There is no 3 month wait time to get the package.

      Cons

      No communication within the company; Weatherford has grown by acquisition and nobody seems to know who reports to who; each division is not consulted when changes to there division are considered-they are told after the fact; there is no "One Weatherford" as indicated within our company "Motto"
