Pros

None at all. Literally NONE.

Cons

1. Check you offer letters carefully. There'll be more deductions than you realise. Do not pick the offer with things like defered pay, variable pay, zeta cards etc. They're just fooling you. Check your designation again in the system. It's usually something else on paper and something else on their systems. This creates an issue when you ask for reference letter or experience letter. Even your salary slips will come out with incorrect designations and despite you requesting 100s of times no one's going to look into it. 2. Confirm Goregaon or Thane office beforehand cuz they'll do their best to cheat you and send you to thane office despite your preference being Goregaon office or vice versa. Later you gotta fight for it. 3. Some managers are micro managing teams to such an extent that they just try to find issues with your work at all cost. Issues meaning color of axis of the chart which was dark grey and not black. Not the data but the color of the axis. It's just disgusting how such people are promoted as managers. 4. More time you spend in office, more you're perceived as a hard worker etc. Purely desi outlook towards work culture. More time you spend at work, more you'll be appreciated. There are people who literally just go to home to sleep and spend rest of their life at work. 5. Unwanted office politics. Managers here are managers because they played well during their time. They're not managers cuz they worked well or deserved the position. Data integrity is zero. I was taught how to manipulate data by a manager. 6. Work load - it's not much but managers make it sound like they're working for ISRO/NASA. They take a convoluted and difficult to understand approach just to prove that they're your managers. It's unnecessary and unfortunate that they don't realize the value of keeping it simple and straightforward. 7. Washrooms are not maintained. They're Super smelly and not cleaned regularly. 8. I generally never crib about food and eat almost everything. But their canteen food is unedible. You just cant eat it. The time i was here i either got my tiffin or relied on street hawkers from time to time. It's really that bad. Trust me. 9. Awards - are usually favoured depending on Managers choice. Your hardwork, efficiency and your will to succeed DOESN'T MATTER. If you're good at buttering your boss.. You'll be rewarded. Simple. 10. Home drop - tried taking drop thrice and was made to wait for more than 45 minutes for a vehicle. Would've reached home by then. Never took drop facility after that. 11. Few positions with clients like qualtrics are glorified for no reason. I understand you want to grow this client but giving unwanted importance to such roles which essentially are as good as customer service is just not professional. By glorifying the roles you're trying to fool people to take up these roles which are purely customer service. You're doing this to experienced market research professionals who've worked for companies and projects bigger than you could ever imagine. 12. Shift changes - depending on client requirements your shift will be changed for 2 or 3 months. Guess what, it's expected out you that you'll accept it. No is not taken for an answer. 13. Illness everywhere - I started remaining unwell as soon as i joined this place. Most of the people in my bay kept sneezing and coughing. It was soon a widespread problem across the company. 14. HR and Finance will try their best to not give you the experience or reference letters. Especially the heads and the leaders of the departments. So be prepared and do everything you can to get. It's your right. 15. Seating arrangements - you don't have a fixed seat and will be expected to move around everyday because they have a smaller office and larger employee base. People literally have to save their work and switch machines because someone else needs to sit at ur place. It's just plainly unprofessional and disgusting that such companies even exist. 16. Night shifts just takes a toll on your body. If you're in early 20s, you can do it. If you're looking for a professional career. This is not the place for you. 17. People are not really good here anymore. Everyone wants to be their bosses favourite. To do that they'll make friends with you, get to know you better and then talk about you at your back. They'll make sure that managers reach out to you separately or look at you in a certain way. Moreover managers here are so gullible that they believe such people before talking to you directly. 18. Still if you want to go there, be my guest. I would rather work for Intelenet (next door neighbour) than go back to Ugam EVER. There are loads of MR companies in Mumbai and rest of India. Try somewhere else. Ugam is not worth your time, effort and patience. You deserve better than being treated as a cattle. Keep your self-respect and dignity high. Avoid UGAM.

Pros

- Exposure to wide array of technologies and stacks - Diverse set of technological problems if you're interested - An Opportunity to work closely with a few of the smart minds - Flexible timings and a decent culture. - Exposure to politics of varying degree (yes it's a pro!) - Great office aesthetic with potted plants tended to carefully. - Free lunch when client comes to visit First 4 points weren't sarcasm. That being said if you keep your head down and work your way , you have a lot of time and bandwidth to explore and learn before you kick off of this stepping stone.

Cons

- Ton of Ignorant people on the floor who act like they're entitled to do anything they so please. - Employees are not usually judged/valued based on performace or contribution or other such silly metrics. You are usually valued on what noise making , drum beating how much confidence you exude. - You're expected to bend over backwards for the client as long you're getting billed. - A lack of comprehensive understanding of technology or businesses , coupled with the fact there's no sane person there who bothers to tell them , powers this ignorance into arrogance.
