Pros

Generally friendly atmosphere and they have clear procedures to follow. You knew who to contact in each division to get the job done. Lots of courses on offer and they like progression within the company. Good death in service benefit and pension plan.

Cons

They expect you to put in the hours, despite being on fixed salary and expect unpaid overtime rather than hire a new person to ease the burden. Not particularly good for working mothers as the culture means you always feel you are never doing enough. Progression is often 60% WHO you know and 40% what you know.
