Pros

It was only a month so I couldn't witness any pros about the company

Cons

Our reporting manager was our trainer too, who didn't give us proper training and was busy all the time, so he just came to us for about 40-45 minutes in the whole day. There was no trainer on the floor to look after us. All we did mostly was "Self-learning". Another thing was the feedback i.e., the result for assignment 1 was shared after 4-5 assignments. So, we had no chance to rectify our errors. He(the manager) also blamed us that I had copied assignments and reduced 50% of my marks for that assignment (even when I didn't copy anything). Then, towards the end of the month, he told us that these assignments were tests and that you (guys) have scored very less and that there is a problem with our academics. He didn't even extend the training period for at least a week so that we could prove ourselves. He took me and 4 others to a meeting room and said that we would have to discontinue the job and he directly assigned a meeting with our HR and made us resign. The most unjust thing that happened to us was some of our batchmates were allotted clients to work with randomly at the start (even to those who scored poorly in the first assignment) and towards the end when it all came to us, the manager said: "you have scored less". For your information, they were allotted irrespective of their performance that too after the first assignment itself, and when we asked about this to the manager he said that "That is none of your business, why should I tell you that". He said that they had mass recruited students so they will remove 100 students. This was the way we were being trained and treated at our job at Ugam. We resigned on the 1st of August from that job.

Pros

- Extremely selected number of analytics and/or data science projects are really at the industry-standard level. If you are very lucky or know how to be an incompetent you will get into these projects. - Only 1% of senior management here can really comprehend what Analytics or Data Science practices are. Rest of them are just toying around with big talks and unnecessary show-offs.

Cons

- Where should I start? - More than half of the projects are either on Market Research or Digital Content Services. Data Science and Analytics - they are just practicing for past 5 years. So it’s worse than a start-up in this area. - I neither have seen nor have heard of more unprofessional, impertinent, autocratic people in any organisation around the world. Everybody here is a know-it-all. - This is followed by the people who are one of company’s flagship product. This person is the most amateurish, dishonourable, heinous human being I have ever encountered, ever. This person literally acts like someone who is actually paying you your monthly salary from their own pockets. - The employee benefits policy here is a complete epigram. You will be allocated two privileged leaves every month, in case of family urgency or other issues, if you are absent your salary for the day will get hatched from your monthly take home. No situation is a grave concern to any of the management people here. - You can avail Meal Coupons, which will be part of your take-home as well as tax-deductibles at the same time. Basically it is like you are adding and subtracting the same number from an equation and this company is justifying that clowning act too. - You will never be allocated to any long-term or even mid-term engagement with any project or client. You will be reshuffled without any prior notice or reason. Again, remember you are just a slave here, not allowed to ask questions. - I have seen more people getting fired than willingly leaving the company, which attests that the middle management here is not even capable of grooming talents or even try to nurture them. In this company, the simplest policy is – if you don’t assent orders you are FIRED, no reason given. - Even if you leave this company on your own accord, your full and final financial settlement is bound to amaze you. If you are a laptop user here, then your FnF statement will be decreased by the Market Price of the laptop you used, irrespective of the condition you returned it back. This has happened to two Analysts who were reporting to my me and left the company on their own will. Unfortunately I couldn’t do anything. - People here are racist too. If both you and your manager are from Southern India and speak the same language, you are surely, by default, a great performer, and all mistakes you make are surely forgiven. Similarly for the Muslims or North Indians. If you get mixed up otherwise by any chance, well, only God can save you then. Or you need to forgo self-respect, empathy, courage and last but not the least, time of your family. - Please read this review carefully before joining this company, believe me I’m trying my level best to leave this place as soon as possible.
