Finishline Express - Contracted with DHL - Stockton CA

Pros

As a Dockworker: it's fast pace environment where you'll scan boxes in the system with a scanner, reweigh them, and then scan them into huge containers... Really easy but less than 40 hours a week. Pay in Tracy CA is $13.00 as opposed to $9 being minimum wage in the state. People leave this position a lot. As a Driver: there's some opportunity for overtime and some times you finish early and go home early. Overall fun job for being able to listen music and deliver mail. Most of the time you get good vacation time as long as it doesn't conflict with other employees.

Cons

No growth for raises. Same pay year after year. $13/hr for a private company and not the real DHL. You have to work in the Bay Area to be with the real DHL.

Pros

I can think of very little positive to report to be honest. There is so much back door, under the radar stuff that goes on that it isn't even funny.

Cons

Sneaky groups and HR use do not post available jobs for all to have a fair shot like they are required. This system is used to promote friends and stunts growth of qualified individuals.

Pretty good pay. Nice fellow employees. Good benefits. Paid weekly. Usually monday through friday. Rarely worked weekends. Many paid holidays.

Cons

Long hours. Not set schedule. Not much home time during the week. Not a family friendly company.
