Pros

They had a very entrepreneurial environment. We had a lot of ability to adjust the work in order to be more successful. So long as we got results, we were not micromanaged.

Cons

It felt like a $7BN dollar start up. There was constant chaos between the factory and the field. There were programs that were started and not maintained. It was very much reactive on the supply chain side of the business.

Pros

The company tried to weather the current recession as best as can manage. When it was decided to close the Hydraulic Fracturing line, management went out of their way to ensure job opportunities for those were being laid off. Good Benefits and a positive safety culture.

Cons

Time intensive and started to strip away benefits when the recession hit. This is understandable to a degree, but it got to the point where the had taken away 401K matching, no per diem, they had altered pay from salary to hourly, altered the bonuses multiple times, and other amenities were removed. As previously mentioned, time intensive, but this comes with job so be sure you know what you are signing up for.

Pros

Worked with the company for a few decades. Easy to move around within the company when following protocol. Easy to move up the ladder as well. In the past, there were lots of opportunities to do so when times are good. Of course, there was a con to this though because many people talked their way into positions instead of "working" their way into the position or demonstrating proficiency to truly earn a position.

Cons

Company treats employees poorly these days (started really sliding downhill about 5 years ago), human resources is abysmal, managers are not trained and prepared for their roles, and saw lots of actions taken that border on EEO infractions. Saw employees laid off by managers they don't even report directly to. Attempts were made by executive management to move away from operating like the largest mom-and-pop company around to become like peer service companies, but in the process, the worst of both worlds has been realized. In general, they stopped caring about employees and cherry-picked changes that would benefit the company in generating more cash to the bottom line and negatively impacted the employees.
