Pros

The employees at Simulia are extremely knowledgeable and bright people. Their integrity is also very high. Since DS acquired Abaqus the work environment has changed. The 'big company' feel is certainly evident, but overall it's still a good company to work for.

Cons

The DS umbrella adds a lot of red tape which really hinders your ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner.

Pros

Our company has an excellent business model that allowed us to grow over the past 30 years. This performance gave us the freedom to expand into other areas. It also provides excellent career opportunities for employees. Customers buys because product quality, performance, and support, i.e., things they really care. Founder's focus in this aspect allows the business to grow without much marketing (compared to others). This is probably the envy of our competition. Our momentum is growing stronger. No one doubts our longivity. We are probably one of the most important pillars within the Dassault family going forward.

Cons

Challenges are exactly that. Product sells itself, the value of employees seems to be decreasing. What used to be simple organization, now become large. Communication is simply, only top-down. Most managment announcement is about how to close the quarter rather than who has a great idea, great achievement, let's honor him/her. Compounded by the expansion of our company, it is unclear if this managment has the expoerience and openness that they need to regain to take us to the next level. It is a challenge how to define our future within the larger context of our parent company Dassault
