Pros

Great place to make friends and travel. Schlumberger is an international company that makes the investment to move their employees to different parts of the world so you get to mingle with people of many different nationalities.

Cons

It is the oilfield. This means the hours are too many and at all times of the day and night. Average work week is 80 hours and expect many calls at 2am to go on 16 hour jobs.

Pros

Good Package and compensations, and good safety standards.

Cons

No job stability as they would get rid of employees as soon as the oil price drops. It doesn't matter if you are an A performer or a D performer. You just need to be in the wrong place in the wrong time. Work/life balance is a non-existent concept.
