Pros

I traveled a lot which I loved, good benefits, cool projects

Cons

Militaristic and sometimes stifling environment. White, middle aged men are by far the majority and they won't adopt any new ideas or technology. Can sometimes be misogynistic and I've seen rampant gender bias.

Pros

Stable Diverse Workforce Smart co-workers Benefits (401K, Salaried Savings, Medical Dental) Early and Mid Career Development Programs (LDP)

Cons

Not the most inviting and enticing work facilities Location of some plants are good while others are down right in-humane In Transition to a more lean workforce / expect some layoffs in non-growth business areas HR Management does not listen to its fellow HR employees who are entrenched in the business and know the employee population best. This is a place where the stars are the engineers - the other functions just play a supporting role.

Pros

-There is a decent amount of company-sponsored training -The Leadership Programs are reasonably well managed - Well-recognized name in the industry - The Executive Branch is strong and does a good job of managing the company from the top

Cons

-Endless bueracracy -Middle management has some really low caliber people I've ever met (who are there only because of their tenure)- this can create tension when they are working with high potentials on their staff. Management also does not seem to have a lot of integrity and is willing to toss the blame down to save themselves. HR will always side with management. -Slow-paced work that is not exciting -The company likes to think of itself as a premier place to work, which can be annoying -The good ol' boys club dictates everything. This can be true at a lot of places, but not on the scale that it is at LM. -Industry in general is not poised for growth
