The people here really are what make the company special. We’re sorry to hear you’ve felt the workload has been overwhelming at times and that your contributions haven’t always been recognised. We know how important it is for people to feel valued for the work they do, and we’re continuing to focus on improving how we celebrate individual and team achievements across the business. On pay, we aim to offer a balanced and fair package that reflects both our values and long-term sustainability. We regularly review our approach to ensure it remains competitive while supporting our ability to invest in people, growth, and innovation. We also know that workload and recognition are closely linked to how we develop our managers and shape our culture. It’s good to hear you recognise the stability that comes with Kraken’s growth; we’re proud to be scaling sustainably while continuing to offer meaningful work and flexibility. We know there’s always a balance to strike between rapid delivery and long-term technical excellence, and we don’t see those as mutually exclusive. We’re working hard to support deeper investment in our engineering practices while continuing to meet the needs of our clients - both are critical to our success. On progression, we’ve been developing clearer career pathways for technical roles through the engineer development framework, and many of our leads and managers have been through, or are currently on, our leadership development programme to support this. We also want people to feel they can speak openly, feedback and challenge are a vital part of how we grow.
