Pros

Good health insurance, good amount of PTO days

Cons

I joined DLL during the COVID pandemic, and one of the key factors that led me to accept the position was the company's emphasis on being "pro-remote." During both the HR screening and the interview with my manager, I was informed that the company had adopted a flexible approach, with minimal in-office requirements (at the time, one "anchor day" per month). There was no mention of transitioning back to more regular in-office days once the pandemic subsided, which strongly influenced my decision to join. However, since the transition to a hybrid model, my experience has significantly deteriorated. The mandatory in-office days add unnecessary stress, as I spend two hours commuting back and forth just to perform tasks I could easily do from home. The stated reasons for this policy—collaboration and fostering culture—seem disconnected from reality, as I typically go to the office, sit at a desk without interacting with anyone, and leave when my workday ends. It feels like the focus is more on justifying the cost of office renovations rather than genuinely considering what’s best for employee productivity and well-being.

Pros

Interesting work Genuinely nice people Neutral station workplace being implemented

Cons

Pay is not only 10-15k less than what you would want, HR has strict guidelines on how much can be offered in a promotion. This means that for the life of your employment you will be underpaid. You will, maybe, get a merit increase annually to keep up with inflation but raises do not exist. You cannot live in a desirable area with your pay. If you are starting out, this issue is something you can look past but I cannot recommend anyone supporting a family to accept what little money is offered.

Pros

- Fun and interestingwork environment and group of people, I still keep in touch w many of my coworkers. - Wonderful employee benefits and perks. - Communication from the top down couldn't be more transparent. - The building in Wayne, PA is gorgeous and very nice amenities having a cafe on hand and patio during the warmer months also the on site gym is a nice touch.

Cons

- Advancing at DLL is all about who you know and who is willing to "give" you a promotion, it's a popularity contest in the end; there are a good amount of husband and wife duos here, you won't find them at the bottom of the todem pole and that is no coincidence - Terminations without warning and layoffs occur pretty frequently - In six years of working at DLL I noticed a big difference in the amount of people of color climbing the corporate ladder here like their white counterparts w similar or lesser qualifications and lesser years on the job - Salary is about 30% lower than similar companies in the financial services industry - Location from Philadelphia (1.5 hr to 2 hr commutes oftentimes)
