I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FDM Group (Manchester, Angleterre)
Interview
FDM contacted me via cold call approach after seeing my CV online.
The following phone interview was more of a sales pitch.
The "assessment day" was as follows:
- Morning sales pitch followed by a meet and greet with management and a short on the spot self introduction to the group (there are other candidates there with you).
Tests:
- Aptitude, mental arithmetic, numeracy and verbal reasoning tests. Spaced out across the day.
Interview(s):
- A total of 15 minutes of interviews, split up into 3, 5 minute segments of 2-3 generic HR questions each.
The interviews are the "make or break" or so they say, which is ironic since they were rushed, leaving many of the candidates I talked to feeling like they were on a conveyor belt at an assembly line.
Interview questions (that I can remember):
- Define success. What is your greatest?
- What is your greatest achievement?
- Knowing what you know now would you take the same degree again?
- How do you get to know co-workers?
- How do you deal with conflicts in the work place?
Overall:
The staff there appeared friendly and welcoming.
I think aside from meeting some really interesting people whom were also going through the assessment day, the one person who stood out at FDM (Manchester) was their IT programming manager. A large bearded fellow who was charming, down to earth and a delight to talk to.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FDM Group (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2014
Interview
a telephone interview that got the "assessment day interview" for the week after. It was pretty good, the people were nice. They asked some coding questions as well as a written exam on logic and basic IT stuff, followed by some behavioural questions.

Question 1
some unexpected behavioural questions. Just be yourself and answer them without getting nervous.
