      Good people, can make good income and progress quickly

      Cons

      Middle Management usually from other companies and either bring their own culture or do nothing to improve things so as not to risk a promotion. Middle management often flips even every 6 mos.

      Pros

      Company can be flexible, up-front salary is competitive but static. Small company mentality can mean mobility is good if you're motivated, but expect help from nobody. Many exceptional people to work with, and was definitely the highlight of the job. New VP is excellent, and very vested in the success of the organization.

      Cons

      Little opportunity for training, horrible work-life balance, only bonus yearly is a % increase to base salary, management will change every 6-12 months, working hard will not merit promotions or pay raises, and managers will fabricate performance appraisals to suit their opinions or how they feel on that particular day. Some managers have no problem harassing or bullying to get their way, and can do so with total impunity.
