Pros

The job security matches the oil field. Direct management typically seem to care about employees.

Cons

It's very focused on management and corporate levels with very little interest in long term employment. While many oil field companies offer retention bonuses, you can't expect that here. Really, I'm not sure corporate cares at all. Management gets DUI's or flips their work truck driving to a gun show and no one cares, yet they give constant speeches about how this kind of thing will get you fired. Oddly enough, they are the only ones to get safety bonuses. I like my job, and the people I work around and for. However, I think the company leaves a lot to be desired.

A company lost in the weeds

Pros

Weatherford can offer good advancement opportunities if you can drive yourself. Do not expect any training or mentoring in most cases. Pay varies but is generally at the market average. Weatherford could be so much more than it is today if only there was a good single vision that all employees could rally around.

Cons

Employee morale is at an all time low. The company is so focused on cash that employees have been forgotten. Training for most positions is very weak compared to SLB and HAL. Senior management is disconnected with the realities of many geomarkets. Human resources is terrible in almost all cases. Bonuses are almost never paid out.
