Pros

It is a job and it is a decent entry level position just don't stay too long and lose yourself. - Attractive starting pay for entry level - Semi-relaxed work environment - Paid training - Helps you develop a tough shell - Almost impossible to get fired, though they will threaten you a lot after you're there for awhile - You can make friends and there's just about every type of person there

Cons

The workplace is a dusty fluorescent light lit work area. The computers are pretty bare bones and have the tendency to lag and crash and cause your tools to cease functionality, which will just exacerbate the frustration of customers on your line. This isn't the job for someone who cannot take criticism and stress it will break you either the people you talk to will or the management will crush your will to care anymore. Again this is a job but my personal recommendation is go somewhere else even if it pays less because it's not worth the stress or frustration. This job over my time at the company completely changed me from who I used to be and many other employees present and past will say the same. - Sanitation- ie. sneezed on computer screens which are your responsibility to clean (you'll be sick a lot) - Broken workstations/equipment - You are only as good to them as your numbers they can be your friend one minute and the next not so much - Poor compensation on some projects - Unprofessional Managers- who will swear scream and belittle you - Abysmal HR department (slow and have to submit things more than once) - Have to watch pay stubs closely because they will mess them up a lot (they've been sued for unpaid wages before) - They don't accept doctors notes when you're sick unless you out for 6 consecutive shifts which falls into LOA - Promotions are usually a popularity contest - You are not allowed to go to the restroom whenever you need to you have 30 mins of break daily and a lunch that's it - Parking is non-existent -You have to check your stubs to make sure you are paid holiday pay as well as overtime. - Impossible to maintain metrics (call time, satisfaction rating, etc.) - Constantly hiring and not taking account of current employees parking and having an available workstation - Poor communication this company will change your schedule while you are on vacation and not tell you - When you are on vacation and upon your return there will be times they yell at you for your stats even though you've been on vacation - Your health will decline (Weight Gain, Depression, Irritability, Migraines)

Pros

You can dress whatever you want. Free housing.

Cons

This job is meaningless, repetitive, lacks challenges and could be probably done by a bot. On the first day they tell you will be evaluated for your attitude, not for your performance - which just means there are no objective evaluation criteria and supervisors get to decide who's good and who's not based on sympathies. Workplace bullying is not discouraged. Supervisors and employees do it all the time. Trainers do it, too. The training took six weeks and was useless: we did not have access to the tools and did not learn anything. It was outrageously boring and pointless - imagine 8 hours per day of seeing the same PowerPoint slides on repeat because we have already seen them all but the training should be long six weeks (why? Nobody knows). Once on the workplace, it was even worse. Nobody knew anything. The entire office did sales in the wrong way for two months - because nobody, including supervisors and trainers, knew the right way. HR support is useless. I am still waiting for the documents relative to my Portuguese residence - six months later. Also, nobody checks the quality of the Quality. If you receive a bad feedback for the wrong reason - and even the quality person agrees with you - you have no way of changing the feedback, and of course that will reduce the bonus. Ah, the "bonus". Imagine selling thousands of euros per month of stuff and only getting a maximum of 300 euros. That's the "bonus". My salary was 200 euros lower than the job offer I got. I knew after moving to Portugal. Severely underpaid. Lisbon rental market is expensive (they paid me 650 euros, but a room in Lisbon costs at the very least 300 euros per month). They offer housing, and that's the single only good thing of working there. They lure you into relocating speaking of great benefits and great activities (Free surfing lessons! Free language lessons!), but there are thousands of employees and only a couple dozen of seats. Good luck! But the worst part of it was the attitude. Classic, old-fashioned corporate bullsh*t all over the place. Nobody cares about what you know or can do, just smile enough and be nice and everything will be okay! Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Again, meaningless, repetitive, lacks challenges and could be probably done by a bot. If you're better than that, only come for a couple of months, get to know this beautiful city, find a better job and say goodbye to this thing. I would never return, not even for 10 times that ridiculous salary.
