Pros

Starbucks offers an incredibly generous benefits package, including the best combination of insurance when compared to the price payed. Hourly rate is above average and when working getting the free drinks will keep you running. Stock options are a beautiful thing, knowing that even though our country may be going through some hard times...there will still be a Starbucks on every corner....well maybe every other corner.

Cons

When opening the store, coming in at 4:30am isn't always the best thing to look forward to on a Saturday night...but it gets better when your shift ends at noon.

Pros

Being a barista is a good job when you're young and need to pay your rent. I enjoyed the staff I worked with and most of the customers. My customer service skills improved tremendously while working there.

Cons

It is very hard to get time off. I ended up having to quit when I need to take a few days off for a personal matter. I gave the manager plenty of notice, but I was informed that that was not an option. The personal matter ended up being more important than the job.
