Pros

Working in the field provides lots of insulation from the life in an office and the politics that go with it.

Cons

The influence and restrictions that come from Dassault can be really annoying.

Pros

DS Solidworks offers an amazing benefits package that combines top notch medical insurance and very generous vacation. 99% of the employees are part of the 'team' and will do anything to help you accomplish your goals.

Cons

While the benefits are amazing, the salary itself is below market rate in my opinion. Also, people tend to be very comfortable in their roles. Because of this, the opportunity for advancement is low.

Pros

Its stable and there are still interesting products to work on that remain competitive and in demand.

Cons

Internal competition confuses what used to be a really clear strategy. The strategy keeps changing too. Fortunately, bottoms up decision making keeps this product thriving.
