Pros

The TRAINING IS ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!!! I love the traveling oppurtunities I have had with Sephora. I have also learned great deal of information. I am so happy Sephora invest so much into training it's employees. Please don't ever stop this. This has only made my passion grow. I believe this company has a Great Concept about training and the rewards it gives it's clients. Salary is good, the perks are Great. The teamwork with it's Brands Awesome! I love that this company allows it's clients to try products as much as they do. I hope they read this website.

Cons

However there are downfalls. Sr Mgmnt is a big one. I truly believe these people have good intentions. However it falls through the cracks. I have had wonderful oppurtunites traveling with this company and have met some great people. I have heard good things but I have heard some real bad things. There seems to be a lot of Sr Mgmnt abusing their power. I do not think it is fair to hire your friends or previous employees IF this is not the field for them. I believe in this career you have to have a passion to be successful. Also you cannot have a "Do as I say, not as I do" attitude and I have seen this a lot!! This goes against THE SEPHORA VALUES!! I don't speak out because I have seen what happens when you do. And it has been done to me. Not only does this happen at store level but also at the corporate office. It seems as if The Values do not pertain there. I have heard of people who have talked to corporate and have not been treated well at all. Sometimes it seems as though the customer is way more important then your own employees. You have to have an equal balance. It seems as though the training with management is not good either. You can tell for who this a career and who this is just a job. It shows and it reflects towards your staff.

Pros

You get great perks. Brand partners are very generous with gratis. Training of products and brands are very detailed. The cast members are very knowledgable and excited to learn more about the brands carried in store and their purpose.

Cons

It is difficult to communicate with management because of attitudes and egos. It was difficult for me to become adjusted with the culture. They are always on the run and seem to be occupied with other things while meeting with you. To have their full attention you'd need to be the CEO or SR Management.

Pros

Free products; growing retail business with a strong outlook in a weak economy. Sephora has a strong concept and outshines its competitors. In this difficult economy Sephora is showing good growth and overall performance. This bodes well for continued job growth with little risk for layoffs.

Cons

Long hours, weekends, holidays are non-existant. Sephora's work schedule is driven by volume when the volume goes up the work hours will go up. Sephora gives 8 paid holidays, but you usually have to work the weekend before or after that holiday to get the day off.
