Pros

Competitive salary and benifits Allow employees to guide career International Opportunities. Ensures that they a compliant with health and safety procedures.

Cons

Struggle to adequately train their employees. Favoritism is shown among managers and employees. Performance appraisal can sometimes be unfair - managers show favoritism to some employees. Not consistent in disciplinary actions. Process and procedures are constantly changing, thus, creating an unstable and stressful work environment.

Pros

amazing field experience and a great company to work for in the early years with early responsibility a good pay package (with field Bonus for wireline)

Cons

once you grow, it is very dependent on relationships to grow in the company. Balance of life and family is negligble for continued line managment and moving is every 2 years which destroys stability.

Pros

In my position (not in the field), the hours are fairly flexible unless I have a billable project where I will need to work more than 40 hrs/ week. Access to technology is awesome. Management is very trusting, there is no limit to internet, emails etc; no restrictions. Career flexibility is awesome. I have options to change to management, marketing or personnel. This flexibility can be a plus but also a drawback where technical people stay too short in their technical position, not enough experience to fully understand the oil & gas business.

Cons

Pay is not competitive. Bosses change too often. If They make bad policies then they move on without getting consequences of the policies. Too many online QHSE trainings; which keep adding up every year. Some of them are not essential. Some managers are not well equipped being managers.
