Pros

Great place to work, amazing training and you get provided with all the proper equipment and technology to perform the job. Paid sick days for full time employees, culturally diverse

Cons

Not a lot of support from upper management, very minimal relationship with the bottom people or technicians. Do not follow the career path to help the employee grow or move up

Pros

Despite the industry downturn, smart business strategics preserves and displays excellence. Excellent benefits package and safety has absolute priority. There are incentivized corporate discount programs available. Most departments have dedicated training programs for career development and advancement planning. There are community involvement events and volunteer opportunities. Culture & Values establish high standards. Retaliation for good faith reporting is forbidden.

Cons

There is very limited advancement for those without a degree despite the message to all employees about career planning/development and promoting from within. You work hard obtaining great experience and skill development through the continuous improvement initiatives, but they'll hire a new employee with a degree before considering you as a viable option. It can feel political when you see people who don't know how to do their job and don't put in the effort by passing their work off to someone else but will network and get promoted. Or you learn that someone in a role you want doesn’t know how to do significant job related tasks. Accountability is lacking more than people like to admit. There are reward/recognition programs in place but not utilized for their purpose. They’re used as incentive for low performers or favored employees although that may be viewed as more of an opinion. A combined pro/con regarding internal promotions is the opportunity/challenge to work in a field you don't have a degree in, which can be a blessing or too overwhelming depending on your skill set. Some people really pull it off while others end up creating chaos and setbacks.

Pros

Great for the best technology in the industry. Pay is good.

Cons

Due to current market rates, not a good time to get in the industry. Management tries to downplay the seriousness of the situation. Long hours. Can be dirty and demanding at times.
