Pros

Good pay for those in their early career

Cons

Cut too many people and expect those remaining to pick up the slack. Poor pay compared to competitors and customers for mid-career and beyond.

Pros

The nice colleagues you have in your team. That doesn't include your managers. It's those that are in the same level with you. But this also depends on your luck.

Cons

Shift of management causing chaos in the whole hub. Other department have to cover for other departments of different functions due to "lack of manpower". Some managers lack leadership skills and empathy where they compare you around with every other people in the company. Managers are always right and analysts are the people that get the short end of the stick where we do everything until the next day's morning only to tell us the next day that they are not going to use what we have prepared and instead change of instruction. Head of departments will never listen to what analysts have to say and only listen to one sided stories from managers when managers are political. Never EVER trusts the managers in the office. You will never know when they will backstab you because your career advancement, future, increment, bonus, everything is on the hands of the so called managers that will decide your faith in your career. When you ask the managers questions they either answer you sarcastically or ask you to find out yourself. Some will answer you but then they will complain about you require their time to explain to you, and this also indirectly indicate you are not knowledgeable, need more time compared to other staffs. When managers did something wrong, they will blame it on the staffs and we get complained and affect our performance, while they want to protect their own image of being the "person that is most important and unreplaceable". All good credit are taken by them and you take the bad ones when something happens. Even when something was previously done correctly and closed, from previous months to years ago, they will dig it out, micro everything to the dot and bring it to the management saying you did something wrong when it was carried forward from years ago, but it is still your own fault because you are expected to know that there is something wrong in it and you are expected to correct it. They also have this sky high expectation where they expect you to know everything after one time, claiming that they provided you "high level, high quality" training when you are still struggling to understand what are all the short forms they are using internally. They will then say you are not using your own personal time - weekends, holidays to self study and enhance your own knowledge.
