Pros

The only pros about this place was the co-workers. Aside from them making the place bearable, the only perk was leaving at 4 since you had no work.

Cons

Unfortunately, you get absolutely NOTHING to do. Imagine sitting in a cubicle for 8 hours a day starring at a wall and that's your job at oracle. They do not train you at all and really push learning everything on your own, which is not efficient. They also tell you (after hire) that you will not move up or increase your salary for the first three years. If you have absolutely no motivation to work or move up in your career then oracle is the place for you! During my time at Oracle 5 people out of 12 team members quit in under a year... that goes to show just how awful the place really is.

Pros

Honestly the pros are a beautiful office at the water gardens, cool coworkers, and depending on how you look at it, management is so inexperienced and the CRM sucks so bad you could honestly just sit around and do nothing and no one would really know- nor do they really care. You'll continue to not make money but thats going to happen either way.

Cons

Where to begin. 1- Promotions are based on who you know and if you like the same sports 2- Management has NO clue what theyre doing since theyre just 2-3 years into sales themselves. 3- Don't expect to make commission 100% not for the first year, you may make half your variable on year 2 and that's if your territory doesn't change. You must have a good territory, good field reps, good pillar reps or you will fail 4- Even if you do miraculously sell our crappy products to someone- dont expect to get paid for 6-12 months if ever. Oh and if you're magically promoted before your commissions come? Say bye to those as well. Even if you get a commission check- be careful because they'll claw it back 4 months later for no reason. 5- Even when a customer WANTS to buy? Good luck getting a quote drafted, that takes about 2 months alone. 6- Favoritism- it is blatantly obvious who the managers like and typically its the "cool guys" they want to be friends with. Even up to the VP level. 7- Sale Cycles are 6-9-18 months long and thats IF they dont change up your territory every 12 months. ALSO they laid off two whole hubs in June- no job security I used to love sales and working here has broken my spirit. I'm thousands of dollars in debt, can't afford to enjoy life, and I may finally make commissions on year 2 and I cant even afford to stay at the company and just HOPE i'll actually get paid them.

Pros

The people in my team were really nice and we had lots of fun.

Cons

I worked as BDC in Dublin and started right after my Master studies. It was really the worst first work experience I could have had. Oracle is not interested in their employees as human beeings but only in the numbers. Also the management is more than poor. You wont get much of support because mostly the managers themselves do not care. The overall atmosphere on the BDC floor is very depressing, not only because of the ugly office but also because there is no communication or transparency. There is literally no corporate culture, no communication and politics are horrible, which leads to many unmotivated employees. I think every second person wants to leave at the moment. Oracle does everything so that all good people leave. Its sad to see that such a big known company has such a poor management style and treats their people in such a bad way. So if you want to gain experience in an international company I would really suggest you to go to the other numerous IT companies in Dublin.
