Pros

None. Prior to Debby, OpenTable was a fantastic company to work for

Cons

Debby and Sagar have ruined morale with their leadership. They love creating a false sense of urgency and a blame culture. Don’t believe all these fake reviews that praise the company

Pros

OpenTable promotes a culture where employees are encouraged to be their most authentic selves. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Generous time off, providing a solid work-life balance.

Cons

Frequent organizational changes and layoffs, especially in the US and EMEA, as cost-saving measures to move work for cheaper labor. Constant rumors of restructuring, leading to job insecurity. Leadership, especially at the executive and VP levels, often makes hasty decisions to chase the next shiny trend, leaving current projects unfinished. George SVP of Service Org leadership has been stagnant, creating a challenging environment for promising leaders within his organization. Some say "His org is where good leaders go to die" Negative impressions, especially with Amy the CRO, can result in career-limiting repercussions that are hard to shake.

Pros

You work with a ton of driven, passionate, and knowledgeable hospitality professionals.

Cons

Since the pandemic, the company has restructured numerous times in the name of revenue - sacrificing talented individuals. A company once considered to be customer service centric now turned into a revolving door of money hungry business. Sacrificing both restaurants and employees, the company continues to front a facade of TLC. Those who maintain their employment does so by turning a blind eye or blatantly enabling corporate greed. If you are looking for a job to turn and burn, this may be the place. Don’t count on loyalty - everyone is on the chopping board if you don’t play along with their agenda.
