Pros

Insurance, Vacation, limited Flex Time (based on title), 401k match, on-site medical facilities, online PeopleSoft learning programs, limited tuition reimbursement, relocation, international satelite offices

Cons

20% performing actual job functions while 80% waiting to retire and collect their retirement which is not offered to new hires. Depressing hearing old timers talk all day about their $$$$$ retirement with countdown clocks. Discouraging environment with talk amongst selves, groups, departments complaining about how no one does their job or it's done incorrectly. Seems everything is a corrective action. View first hand how tax payers dollars are at waste.

Pros

Decent benefits but not the best. Some business units in LM are good to work for as far as culture.

Cons

Some divisions are unstable, leadership does not care about people, poor culture and morale, favoritism is very prevalent, no work life balance for salaried positions and limited growth opportunities. Not the same Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as in the past...

Pros

- good benefits - flexible hours - most sites develop innovative technology

Cons

- benefits reduced more and more - laying off older, higher pay employees and replacing them with inexperienced for fresh out of college personnel. This has been causing HUGE problems with design and production issues due to lack of knowledgeable, and experience. - Complicated processes causing major design and manufacturing issues which in turn becomes costly and delays productivity. Layoffs seem to focus on the long term, experienced employees. - management imposes ethics training but doesn't follow it themselves. If anyone does go to HR to lodge a complaint or concern they are next on the layoff list. We've seen this happen with a co-worker we had worked with for years. - loosing customers due to way they are running company. They are not meeting their requirements for some contracts or over spending on some others.
