Example of british excellence, one of the few unicorns in the UK, great Python/Django expertise across engineering teams

Cons

Pay could be more transparent and inline with similar sized/performing tech companies (or offset this with better benefits) Can be chaotic, especially when intersecting with Octopus Energy and/or clients (internal/external) DEI efforts and female only initiatives may hurt the company in the long run

Generally good people. Some over-promoted. "Big Green Dent" is a good mission but it's become unclear how Kraken (except Flex) has anything to do with it.

Cons

Widespread burnout in Platform team. Lack of investment in basic platform resilience from leadership. Team size far too small for all the work that needs doing. Company talk about valuing people is not put into practice.
