Pros

Flexi-benefits, remote work arrangement, work life balance depending on your manager

Cons

This company is always undergoing reorganisation. Some people are against global changes and are still stuck in the previous operating model which is siloed. So don't be surprised at the power struggle in this company. By right, there are plenty of resources but some people don't want to work with them on the basis of cultural differences and will keep insisting to push work to the same country person even though they are in different departments!

Pros

Great team and coworkers. Mostly reachable goals

Cons

Low pay. No market adjustments for current employees. I just completed hiring for my team. 50% of my direct reports now make more than I do... The other 50% are just below. Leadership doesn't seem interested in adjusting my comp any time soon. just delaying . "Wait until after January and we will see what we can do". Recently got a promotion and Received a very small increase... This would have been a perfect opportunity for JCI to bring my compensation to a competitive rate but they stated "guidelines" only allow a small raise. I get great annual reviews. I have tried everything. Time to look for other opportunities outside JCI...most likely with a competitor.

Pros

JCI sas a great company and currently has some great/good products.

Cons

The CEO, George Oliver, does not care about people. He’s arrogant, not very smart, socially awkward, and does not listen to feedback. He’s doing what he wants to do and it will be a slow death. He learned from the best - Jeffrey Immelt and Jack Welch. The field teams do not respect him. He sold off Power Solutions to pay down the TYCO merger debt and completed stock buy backs with no reinvestment in new businesses. “Openblue” is a rebrand of many existing products. The tyco merger has been a disaster as it included many less than talented people, and the good ones left. In 2021 in the US he has moved $500MM in revenue from “projects” to “service” to make the NA business look better in a down construction economy. There is an ongoing list good great salespeople and managers who have quit or been run off in the last 4 years (40+ long term extremely talented people). George ran off two very talented presidents as well. That is all.
