Pros

This is a fun job with lots of ways to make more money than your hourly rate. Pretty simple operations.

Cons

This is a physical job. Lots of lifting and working with heavy items. Days are long for General Managers.

Pros

Free meals during shift, easy menu to learn, decent upward mobility, flexible hours for part time employees working around school/classes.

Cons

Franchise ownership and upper (district) management would encourage working off the clock to save labor hours. District manager would alter monthly inventory counts to send to ownership, not giving an accurate picture of what the true costs of running the business. Incorrectly classified some employees into "exempt" status, pushing store management to work 60+ hours a week without proper overtime compensation. Changed the secret shopper program and bonus structure to make it nearly impossible to earn the bonus (which they are always sure to include in any discussion of pay/benefits.

Pros

The free meals and the hours. The fact that you get a paycheck once a week with forty or fifty hours.

Cons

The employees and the lack of staffing. There are no benefits. A lack of appreciation. Little opportunities for advancement.
