Legal Scolding During HR New Hire Orientation - Customer Support Specialist Weatherford Employee Review

Pros

It's a place where you can get training and learn about the oil and gas industry. Like many others like it. Some very good and honest hard working people. Like most places, the good people working there make it great, although management might be clueless or careless to really care about their subordinates. But that is also like most every other large firm these days. Work life balance was not too bad since several lazy people in the department were never disciplined for their slacking; it infects others and you could pretty much get away with working as little as possible if you wanted to come in late and leave early most of the week.

Cons

Law suits for bad corporate behavior. Disengaged people at all levels of the business. The first indicator that I should have kept looking for another job and passed on this one, was the 1 hr long new hire orientation where they got someone from legal to come in during orientation and SPELL out, "this is an example of bribery. Bribery is illegal. Do not do it if it is illegal. Illegal very bad. Etc." It was comical though. This is tame however, in that I've overheard sexual harassment allegation and other terrible employee behavior disciplinary discussions at other places I have worked. Is there any decent place to work anymore or does no one even care anymore? Bottom line to anyone working any where. Just know you are being fed a story about the place when interviewing. It's a two way street. I just hate the shake down and TSA microscope inspection of your personal life you have to do for employers and yet they feed you "we are made of gold over here."
