Pros

Good people to work with.

Cons

Cutting benefits, worsening work life balance, obsessed with stock price at the expense of employees and families, too quick to layoff. Performance goals only vaguely relate to the job and are out of the average employee's ability to impact. As a result performance reviews are too subjective rather than a measure of actual employee contribution. Generally this company does not provide a worker with a sense of stability or company loyalty to the employee. Stress levels are kept abnormally high.

Pros

Large well known company. Depending on the department you are in there are opportunities to grow and learn a lot.

Cons

Everything sounds good but they don't practice what they preach. Processes are put in place but are only followed by certain people, others are not held accountable. Depending on the department, skills and talent are not taken into consideration for new opportunities, they like to fill quotas and there are a lot of management clicks. I've seen a lot of good people leave recently because of poor management. If you are not in management it is difficult to advance in the company. Talented people are held back because their managers don't want them to leave their team. They restructure each year and if you are not promoted during the restructure you will get a new manager who will tell you your past efforts don't matter, you need to "prove your worth" again to them. It is a viscous cycle.
