DHL has been ran right into the ground.
Pros
It is a nationally recognized company. When you tell people that you are employed there, you don't get asked "where's that?"
Cons
I work for an independent contractor at DHL. The way that they treated our contractor was just sickening. I am not sure if it was secretive, or just disorganization, but as a whole, DHL was an awful company to do business with. Our IC did their best to keep drivers informed, but they really did not have too much to work with. The policies are forever changing, and they get upset with couriers when they make mistakes. How could we keep up, when we were not told half of the time what we were in fact supposed to be doing? They make so many promises to customers, that are totally unrealistic. It is easy to say stuff when you are behind a desk making way more than those of us out there actually earning the money for the company. When it was Airborne Express, I enjoyed the working experience much better. All of the direct employees at DHL have very low morale and it is amazing that they stay here.
