Pros

Abbott in general has good benefits. Compensation is relatively competitive... However, being in the SF Bay area their compensation is not nearly as competitive as it should be.

Cons

The culture at AH is very conservative. Young employees do not feel like they are being maximized to the fullest potential.

Some departments are not straight across the board. And for Contingents may have to really work hard and prepare to remain contract for a period of 3 years or more

Cons

Dermatology Management is extremely poor, lots of turnover in management Not great work/life family balance despite ratings in "Working Mother's Magazine" Don't feel they value the employees very much, not compared to another pharma company I've worked at Data issues for sales compensation are very inaccurate and cause morale issues in salesforce
