Pros

There's only one reason why it's good to work at AT&T and that's telecommuting....granted it t took 4 years of trying to get that perk. The company is slowly catching up with the rest of Corporate America. Oh, and I left out the fact that it's up to ones manager on whether or not you can telecommute.

Cons

Upper management doesn't care on the moral of the employees, they won't back fill positions after someone leaves the company, employees are over loaded with work and that doesn't concern management, raises and bonus....lucky if you get the cost of living, plenty of disrespect is given on a daily basis....you can always count on upper management doing their job when it comes to disrespect and not caring.

Pros

The folks that have spent years of their lives striving to make the local phone service the best in the world. As a whole, the craft and lower level managers are dedicated to both work and their commnuity.

Cons

1st level managers have become cannon fodder for upper management's hunt for extra profits. Some 1st level managers are making a choice between paying for prescribed medication or making a house payment. We are required to work extra hours and stand duty for no pay, so it ends up we are making less than the folks we manage.
