Everything was very well planned and aligned smoothly. The interview process was clear, the communication was timely, and the coordinators did a good job making sure expectations were set. The only issue I experienced was that the interview had to be postponed once, which slightly delayed the process. Other than that, the overall experience was positive, and everything felt structured and professional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were some basic questions about myself, then we started to dive deep into my current job and what I do, and we tried to understand if I could be a good fit for that opening.
I applied online for the Mechanical Design Engineer role and was contacted by the recruiter within a week. The first step was a phone screen, where I was asked about my background, CAD skills (CATIA V5, Siemens NX, SolidWorks), and specific projects that demonstrated GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and DFM/DFA practices. They also wanted to understand my experience with FEA tools like ANSYS/Abaqus and my ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In your experience, what are the biggest design-to-manufacturing challenges the team faces, and how does this role contribute to solving them?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tesla (Berlin) in Sep 2025
Interview
After HR interview, 45 Mins Ms Teams Meeting with 2 Hiring person. 1 Manager and other Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. After introducing myself, they asked me around 20 questions in a period of 30 mins. I answered almost 18 questions but I received a rejection a day after stating nothing in the E-Mail. So personally I felt the experience was very bad. I am not going to apply to such companies in future. They might be good but not invincible!
