Essentia Health interview questions

Initial "just discuss" with the recruiter actually involved interview questions of the type I haven't heard since residency interviews. The recruiter did a fantastic job every step along the way of keeping everyone informed and coordinating flawlessly. This was followed by a meeting with the department director to determine if she liked me enough to proceed. Then this was followed by a typical interview day for a physician involving the department head, manager, other providers, a financial officer (they discussed salary and benefits with apparently no plan to hire me), and a regional director. I must have interviewed very poorly, because I received an automated rejection letter one business day after the day-long interview. All in all, it seemed like a great place, but they didn't think I was a great fit.
