The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Jun 2010
Interview
The hiring process with Capital One began very quickly. After expressing interest, I received a phone call from a recruiter on a Monday morning. That same day I completed personality and skills tests and by Tuesday morning had an invitation to interview in Plano that Friday, which I accepted. On Friday, I met with three interviewers, one for company fit and two giving case interviews. The case interviews seemed mostly straightforward but the interviewers would not give feedback after the discussion ended. Within a week, I received an email informing me that they were pursuing other candidates.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Jun 2010
Interview
Took the test when I applied. Recruiter contacted me one month later. Asked questions like why do you want to be hired, what do you expect from this job, etc. Fully form answers to these questions before your interview. Also, make sure you ask them questions. I was contacted later by hiring managers who 1:1 interviewed me for the teller position in their banks. I was accepted soon after.
It is a wonderful place to work and my colleagues couldnt be nicer! I'm really happy with my job and intend to keep it at it and get better and better. Promotional opportunities are also decent.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Mar 2009
Interview
Case interview was very industry specific and they relied heavily on case interview performance in determing whether to give offer. Of the three people I interviewed with, one was nice, one was aloof and one was a jerk.
