The interview process was fast, which is much appreciated. The phone screening was a quick, regular phone screen. The interview with the hiring manager +1 could have been better. They did ask me to write some code but it wasn’t in code pad or any other application, instead it was in the chat window. I thought that was a little strange.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you got surprising/invalid results for an analysis, what did you do to interrogate and fix the issues? How would you prevent them next time?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
This was an initial phone screen, about an hour long. Amazon provides fairly detailed advice for behavioral interviews, which helps with preparation. I also got some tips from friends inside the company. However, there was at least one question where I couldn't tell if the interviewer wanted a technical answer or a more general one--instead of asking for clarification, I just fumbled through, which I don't think did me any favors.

Tell me about a time when you linked two problems to the same underlying issue.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon
