Pros

Hours are not to bad if you are a full time employee if not then you can also ask or hours and probably will get them. You have a opportunity to ask for training in other areas of the store so you have more experience for new jobs that come up. They hire from within generally so its easy to advance in most cases.

Cons

The pay is not to bad but if you are looking for better pay this is not the place for you. They do not accept doctors slips when you are ill. Three days is all the leave you have if you are sick unless you qualify for medical leave.

Pros

Fast paced environment which allows my day to breeze by. I receive a 10% discount on almost all items that I purchase. Insurance is decent as well.

Cons

Hmm, where do I start? LOL j/k I am disgusted at the lack of respect given, from all aspects, for being a CPhT in a Wal-mart Pharmacy. Or I guess for being "just" a technician. It gets old, fast! Treat others as you'd like to be treated!!

Pros

The management team is well-trained and very professional. Also, the company is very focused on employee and customer safety, offering safety incentives to keep accident rates very low. It is obvious that the management team genuinely cares about the employees. There is also an abundant amount of opportunities for advancement, and you don't have to be employed for a tediously long amount of time before you are eligible for promotions. My personal employment experience with Walmart was exceptional and, if need be, I would definitely go back.

Cons

Depending on what department you get hired in, the hours can be very inconsistent. Also, as with most chain companies, you are not allowed to ask off for the holidays (though you do get holiday pay!) and they are open year-round so you might be working every holiday. Other than that, there really aren't any other cons.
