Pros

Great culture, great people, supportive team and tech leads, free food and parking, 10% bonus if sales people hit their quota, stock option after 1 year, 2 annual travel opportunities for company events, pretty good healthcare insurance and afordable insurance for your partner(gay or straight), casual dress code, they care about customer service. If pay is not at the top of your list, this is a great company to work for.

Cons

Pay is $16.75 per hour and your raise will be $0.50 if you hit your numbers during the year. People like when they get recognized for their hard work with money. Basically, the pay is lower than average for this type of work. It should be at least $20 per hour for the amount of work it takes. No work from home, unless under super special circumstances. They hire a lot of college graduates for TSS positions (this job really required some prior support experience with Windows based software). Being a graduate myself, I realized pretty quick the pay and professional advancements are not going to justify the time and money spent on getting a degree. They rant a lot how they promote from within but it's really average for tech support (after 1 and before 2 years you'll get moved to tier 2).

Pros

For consultants in Professional Services, the pay is pretty competitive. On the extremely rare occasion you are in the office, you get to enjoy the fun atmosphere of the company. Tableau is an amazing product, and what they have some projects in the works that will continue to disrupt the BI and analytics landscape. It is an honor to contribute to this! - Outside of Professional Services, morale is high.

Cons

As a consultant in professional services, you are expected to travel on personal time. Flying out on Sunday, and returning Friday night is typical. Including travel, 65 hours is a typical work week. Consultants in professional services find it difficult to transition to jobs internally; almost all seek opportunities outside of Tableau to advance their careers.

Pros

Great culture, too much food, friendly attitude, informal dress code. Everyone helps each other.

Cons

The company is becoming too big and some of the management level are incompetent. More and more it feels like IBM, budgets are being cut, open positions frozen and more hierarchical levels implemented. People are being made redundant - growth is slowing down. Lots of pressure, working over hours for years without change in sight.
