Pros

Working at Starbucks has helped me improve my interpersonal/social skills immensely. Every day I meet new people and after each interaction I can apply what I have learned to the next interaction. The job is very rewarding personally--I have met a lot of friends and I basically get paid to improve my social skills (actively engaging in conversation, reading people, relating, effectively delivering message) and to practice being more patient and aware. Also, I am eligible for medical benefits as long as I work around 20 hours a week.

Cons

I have worked at Starbucks for two years now and the pay isn't awful but it doesn't seem competitive. However, I get the health insurance from Starbucks and it makes up for the pay for me.
