      Pros

      Excellent benefits, terrific experience, decent pay, fun and enjoyable place to work. Perfect for a college student as the scheduling is usually extremely flexible.

      Cons

      The company is tanking right now. After expanding too quickly and diluting the brand with automatic espresso machines, competitors like McDonalds are making it difficult for Starbucks to remain profitable. As such, the opportunities for advancement were next to zero in my district, where they shutdown over 30% of the local stores.

      Pros

      Higher end QSR job. Used to have good opportunities for advancement and work life balance.

      Cons

      In the last year the company has cut a lot of labor, leaving the work on the manager alone. What used to be a flexible 40-45 hour a week job has now become a 50-60 hour job for the same pay with less flexibility.

      Pros

      Great benefits compared to your average hourly employer. Although in the recent years there have been some serious drawbacks on those benefits.

      Cons

      The hours are both a pro and con. The hours you may have to keep can be extreme and most managers won't hire you unless you have open availability.
