Pros

Great benefits for part time employees and the 30% off discount is nice. A good job for people currently in school.

Cons

For the work needed and for what they put up with, baristas and shift supervisors especially do not get paid nearly enough of what they deserve.

Pros

Everybody I worked with cared about the customers and were generally fun to be around. Starbucks is a fun place to work and the benefits (insurance) can't be beat for an hourly job. The tip splitting policy is also extraordinarily fair.

Cons

I will never be able to say that I enjoyed arriving at work at 4:30 in the morning to open the store by five. The pay isn't all that great, though I knew what I was getting into there. Some of the customers were....very particular and not correspondingly appreciate.

Pros

The pay is pretty high and raises are quick. I started at 8.25 and went to 9.11 in 1 year. Also has tuition reimbursement up to a certain amount

Cons

I burned my foot (barely) by spilling a hot drink
