Pros

Nothing, it was the worst workplace I had.

Cons

No growth, just stagnation. This company claims to offer opportunities for growth, but that’s just a cover for the reality of the workplace. Nearly every employee is a manager, but instead of fostering growth and progress, they only focus on their own positions and rewards. Innovation is stifled, and you’ll find yourself stuck in a place where no one is willing to invest in your development, as everyone is too busy trying to climb the corporate ladder. This company has no regard for its employees. Effort and dedication are rarely acknowledged, and if you're not constantly "pleasing" the higher-ups, you're overlooked. There’s an air of superiority among the managers that trickles down to everyone, and it creates an environment where no one feels truly valued.

Pros

Big company, generous pension contributions. A pleasant enough place to work with generally nice people and a friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Signify was formerly Philips Lighting, a company that made a lot of money out of selling people lightbulbs, amoung other things. The world buys fewer lightbulbs than it used to and Signify is in the process of attempting to make money out of other things than lightbulbs; this process is not necessarily a pleasant one and is still very much underway. The office in 'Cambridge' (Pampisford, actually) used to be a small, independent company (Telensa) which was aquired by Signify in 2021. It sometimes seems that we get the worst parts of being a small company (lack of resources, pressure to get unreasonable things done, no time for improvements) with the worst parts of a global company (lots of beauracracy, pointless meetings, burdensome processes).
