Pros

it pays really well, lots of opportunity for global travel and career progression. on site gym is really good, they care about the health of their workers. subsidised lunches. they have a really good Christmas Party.

Cons

It pays so well people never leave and stay in jobs for ever. people get bored and cynical with regards to the company. They are big and having to deal with departments like HR can be very very very painful. you have to liev in some truely god awful places like texas and aberdeen, scotland. They are actually the better places, you could end up being shipped out to the middle east or east africa!

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to work with cutting edge equipment, lots of vendor support.A supperb place to start one's career as they have procedures to cover every possible item. The journey person to apprentice ratio is out of this world. Students wanting to check out work life as a blue collar worker have an excellent opportunity to try several different trades orriented carreer paths.

Cons

The process of thinking for oneself is quite limited due to excessive procedures, even for the simplest of tasks. One can speak out, it's not supposed to hold you back, yet you might find it some what carreer limiting if you persist on getting answers. Schedules and paperwork are the rule, incomplete of missed paper work means the job was not done.
