Good work/life balance , work with people who like cars , lots of opportunities to learn and work on interesting topics... good training system

Cons

poor compensation (they think loving cars is an enough reward... but it was 10 years ago, before jobs became boring...) , poor brand image (and therefore poor revenues and low budget to work) Don't expect to climb if you are not a friend of a big boss... that's how poor managers stay with good positions. And the CEO is too scary to be told the truth... Strategy is not very clear : low cost ? premium ? innovation ?

Pros

You can easily find your balance work / life. There is a friendly atmosphere within the teams. Home working is possible.

Cons

Opportunities for advancement were very political and reserved to french people. Event HR ask to invest most of your time in internal networking (instead of working) to prepare your next job. You always need to have a "sponsor" to run block for you if you want interesting options.

I guess it is not working this way everywhere inside the company, but the Renault (and Nissan) software organization is soooo bad. You can take a 3 months leave and come back to find the exact same topic on your desk, untouched. Or you can discover someone else has already done the job, 6 or 12 months ago.
