      Pros

      Through my career they have always been fair and ethical. Even now as the company is downsizing they provide a good severance package and benefits extension. Benefits are better than most companies. I hope they can come up with more new products to keep the company financially healthy.

      Cons

      The future is cloudy to say the least. We have a product major loss (Lipitor) in 2011 and not much coming behind it. Everything is being cut to save money. Job security is not good but at least they do a good job of providing severance and job assistance if you are let go.

      Pfizer: Trying to steady the ship.

      Pros

      The benefits package is certainly attractive. Pfizer employees receive all prescription drugs free in addition to PPO and HMO plan options. Pfizer provides a generous 401 K match.

      Cons

      Pfizer's pipeline has failed to bring to market the necessary number of drugs to sustain a large sales force. Restructuring has been a common theme and will likely continue in the future. Pharma guidelines also limit the ability to market and promote products like a traditional sales force.
