      Great place to work despite of bad salary

      Pros

      Senior Management doesn't complain if you need to work from home. Besides that, Oracle benefits such as health care and 401k are really good.

      Cons

      Salary is not competitive if compared to the market and bonuses are really bad, sometimes nonexistent. The fact that Oracle has acquired many companies has changed the company soul. Now it looks like one place with many different companies inside.

      Working for Oracle looks good on your CV, highly visible to the outside world. A lot to learn, a lot room to grow. Everyone knows Oracle, powerful value proposition. High growth strategy.

      Cons

      The company is one big operational excellence machine. A lot of hidden work in self-service processes, lowering worker productivity (but not visible). Oracle doesn't really care about its people, more about shareholder value.
