By far the best place I've ever worked
Pros
So many but: - You get to build products that impact the daily lives of 3 billions people - You get to be at the forefront of technology and the evolution of the internet (metaverse etc) - Despite what the media would lead you to believe I strongly believe that Meta drives net positive good for people across the world. For example our tools and free services helped people stay connected to their loves ones during the Covid crisis. Covid lockdowns would have been significantly worse without our products. - Strong autonomy - theres very little process and still room for individuals forge their own path - Top of the market pay and benefits. There really are very few other alternatives employers that are able to match Meta's overall package - Great people. Smart and humble, friendly but dedicated to their work
Cons
The press cycle and current overall sentiment towards Meta (driven by the media) is a drain. It's not much fun having to defend your employer with friends and family.
