      Pros

      Independence ; ownership, perks, Move fast , This place is heaven for entrepreneurs and engineers who like to build stuff!!

      Cons

      Roadmap changes very fast, It is not very transparent how and on what basis the features get implemented and selected. Food here is very random, basically every thing here is "Fusion" so that pretty much sum up you are on Mercy of Chefs mood on what is the next stuff he will mix :-), Advice to Chef , relook at demographics it has changes since you were hired!!! ( Clue: more chinese and indian people here who are not fascinated by Fusions )

      Rarely a dull moment

      Pros

      - Pervasive focus on impact. - Plenty of opportunity to make an impact, as we ship to millions of users on a short cycle with very little red tape. Not afraid to make mistakes, though of course we strongly prefer to avoid them. - Strong overall compensation. - Excellent on-site food options. I eat here at every opportunity. - Fun "work hard play hard" internal culture. Coworkers tend to be "from the Internet". Many lolz are had.

      Cons

      - Now eating too many sweets because they're readily available. - Sometimes feel like I joined too late (e.g., hear Proposition 30 complaints from coworkers, doesn't apply to me). - Continued growth has decreased the small company feel somewhat. Beginning to develop internal politics. - There is some tendency among some folks to prefer a quick hack instead of the Right Thing in the name of moving fast.

      Pros

      Facebook is absolutely full with smart people; this means you work with the best and grow quickly. The scope of the challenges are quite large, and our management (especially in engineering) is top-notch. The company is very employee-friendly, has an awesome culture, and works hard on transparency.

      Cons

      We're growing, which loses some of the small-company-feel, and career paths aren't always obvious, but these are small complaints.
