Big company makes it easy to get away with doing the bare minimum.

Cons

No investment in the employee. Average raise for a middle tier rating is 1.5%. 20% overtime is expected. Management will actively block attempts to move to other areas that may interest you more. Program management is unethical and regularly submits underbid proposals in order to bait-and-switch customers. Engineers are not empowered to make basic technical decisions, to the point that vital lab equipment is often purchased on the employees dime because getting approval for a $10 cable purchase takes 6 months.

Pros

Work on the 9/80 work schedule which is pretty cool. Get to work on incredible projects and be a part of a great team. Decent job out of college that should help me in the future. Working alongside brilliant engineers. Not micromanaged at all. Very flexible work hours. I am treated like I have been working there for 10 years.

Cons

Very old school software development methodologies. Was told it would be a "fast, agile environment" but it is the complete opposite. Very process heavy. Tough for a new grad that was looking for a young atmosphere and collaboration between engineers. Pay is below average for software engineers out of school.

Although ethical behavior is a company priority at the corporate level, it was very questionable on the contract for which I worked. The contract was very lucrative for Lockheed, so it was clear some blatant unethical actions were ignored by corporate leadership. Really disappointing.
