Pros

Health Benefits worked very well for standard issues, however, when specialized medications are required Lockheed's insurance provider was sub-standard. Pay range for electrical engineer was on par with industry. Tuition Reimbursements was more than adequate

Cons

Vacation & Sick time were lacking Benefits seemed to be non-standard between departments and pay-grades. Difficult to receive compensation for overtime when required by a project.

Decent benefits Support for communities of practice to engage in creativity and sharing of ideas Good HR personnel Good upper upper management

Cons

Incompetent middle and senior management Company seeks technicians over engineers Little room for creativity in software Failing 20 year old practices Long term, little chance for growth or advancement (in both career and personally) Locked into aerospace after too long a time, with great difficulty in transitioning to more "normal" software business companies Big on talk but little on action.

Cons

Based on California Labor Laws no pay raises in the near future. And in the state of California thats not going to cut it.
